Wyoming Gun Company Wyoming's first indoor commercial shooting training center establishes a new standard for safety, functionality, and regional character. The facility includes one 100-yard and two 25-yard shooting ranges, a retail lobby, and integrated administrative and training areas. The master plan also accommodates a future 500- yard tactical range, emphasizing long-term flexibility and growth. The design is informed by extensive research and precedent case studies of cuttingedge shooting ranges nationwide, where safety and security are paramount. Each shooting bay is housed within an earth-bermed structure topped with a concrete roof deck, minimizing the risk of errant bullets. Inside the ranges, steel plate baffles, specialty lighting, advanced exhaust and fire protection systems are meticulously coordinated to ensure user safety and environmental performance. Recycled rubber ballistic media is used for bullet capture/containment and lead mitigation - reducing ricochet risk and simplifying maintenance. While the interior delivers a high-tech, performance-driven environment, the exterior intentionally contrasts with a western vernacular aesthetic. Stone wainscot, maintenance-free metal siding that nods to traditional lap siding, gabled roofs with chimneys and dormers, and a wrap-around porch create a welcoming, regionally resonant facade. This architectural approach deliberately conceals the facility's advanced technical functions.
